A Technical Review of tools and Techniques

Interested in cybersecurity but not sure where to start? Curious about the tools and technology of the trade? Then this workshop is perfect for you! We will be covering the seven categories of cybersecurity careers as presented in the NIST NICE cybersecurity workforce framework and reviewing associated jobs and the types of technical skills needed for them. This will be a hands-on-keys workshop, so come prepared to try out some different cybersecurity tools .

Time: 10AM to 3PM

COST: 4 hour course taught by certified professionals (includes: student Guide, Lunch, 4 CPEs, & prize giveaway)

  • Laptop with virtualization capability and at least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB preferred)
  • VirtualBox VM player
  • Kali Linux (note that there is a prebuilt version for VirtualBox available on the site)
  • You can still participate in this workshop as an observer if you do not have a computer available
