Lisa JiggettsLisa Jiggetts

Lisa Jiggetts is the founder and CEO of the Women's Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC), one of the fastest growing nonprofits dedicated to women in cybersecurity. WSC provides women with the resources and support required to enter and advance as a cybersecurity professional. Her organization uses a holistic approach to develop programs that train women in both the hard technical skills and soft skills, leaving them feeling empowered to succeed. She is most proud to be known as a straight-up but down-to-earth motivator with the women whom she mentors. Jiggetts and her organization have been profiled in Fortune Magazine, SC Magazine, and Pentest Magazine among others. She is a sought after presenter and has been a guest speaker for numerous conferences and recorded podcasts. Jiggetts, a service-disabled veteran, began her cyber career in the military where she excelled as an IT security specialist. With over 20 years of Information Technology experience, 17 of which are in cybersecurity, her experience spans risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and policy development across military, government, and commercial industries. She holds a variety of technical and management certifications as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College and an MBA. Not just a full time geek with a passion for making a difference, Jiggetts is also an accomplished artist.


Jessica GulickJessica Gulick

Vice President

Jessica Gulick is founder, president, and CEO of Katzcy Consulting, a woman-owned growth strategy and marketing firm specializing in cybersecurity start-ups and SMBs. A CISSP and PMP, Gulick is a 20-year veteran in the cybersecurity industry with proven experience in strategy, cyber policy, business metrics, global marketing and security program management. She has successfully launched multiple award-winning global cyber marketing campaigns for services, products, and cyber competitions. Her portfolio of work also includes the authorship of strategic cybersecurity plans for federal government agencies and whitepapers for private companies, cybersecurity consulting, and engineering projects for national security and financial clients, and a public-private initiative launching the first Maryland Cyber Challenge and Conference.


Mari GallowayMari Galloway

Chief Operating Officer

Mari Galloway is the Chief Operating Officer and a founding board member for the Women's Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC), one of the fastest growing nonprofits dedicated to women in cybersecurity. WSC provides women with the resources and support required to enter and advance as a cybersecurity professional. Galloway began her cyber career with Accenture where she excelled as a Network Engineer. With over 9 years of Information Technology, 8 of which are in cybersecurity, her experience spans network design, risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, incident response and policy development across government and commercial industries. She holds a variety of technical and management certifications as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Columbus State University and a Master of Science in Information Systems. Mari also guest blogs for a variety of security related publications across the country. Outside of being a geek, Mari enjoys arts, puzzles, and legos!


Elena SteinkeElena Steinke

Director

MBA | CISSP | Security+ | C|EH | Threat Intelligence Analyst

Elena Steinke is a strategic & tactical architect, with over 15 years of systems engineering, and information security experience in developing solutions, providing strategic direction, designing, building, and directing cybersecurity operations across continents on multi-national projects, in the financial and US Federal sectors. Steinke stood up and directed multiple Security Operation Centers, Network Operation Centers, Data Centers, and management of virtualized storage technologies and elastic cloud environments. She lead security efforts across the globe for Automotive and Mobile Security, Banknote Processing Systems, Electronic Payments, eSIM, and IoT Technologies. She built and led Threat Hunting, Vulnerability Management, Security Assessment, Penetration Testing, Risk Management, Secure Credential Management, Key Management, and Security & Awareness Training programs.

She holds a Bachelors in IT, an MBA, and is pursuing her second Masters from Mercyhurst University in Applied Intelligence. When Elena is not being a geek, she enjoys racing triathlons.

Veronica MitchellVeronica Mitchell

West Coast Regional Chapter Director

Veronica Mitchell recently accepted a position of CRO/CISO for a municipality, where she oversees all aspects of cybersecurity. She has over 15 years of cybersecurity professional experience. This year she was the proud recipient of the 2017 Volunteer of the Year Award from the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC) organization. She was also appointed as a board member of the organization, whose role is West Coast Regional Chapter Director.

The Regional Director is broadly charged with strategically and sustainably growing and developing WSC in number and strength, as well as working closely with the chapters in the regions to increase average chapter size for the organization. They will serve as the primary contact for their chapters established in their geographic region. Our new Regional Directors are all dedicated members of WSC that have backgrounds in higher education and business that will help grow our chapters, develop deeper relationships with members, and create stronger connections with universities.


Dr. Crystal WilliamsDr. Crystal Williams

South East Regional Chapter Director

Dr. Crystal Williams began her professional career in the IT field when she graduated from high school and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. She is currently the Information Security Certification & Accreditation Manager for a Department of Defense (DoD) organization and an Adjunct Professor at Campbell University. She has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology field and over 15 years of experience specializing in Information Assurance (IA) / Cybersecurity.

Williams has worked in various areas of Information Technology to include regulatory adherence, programming, user training and support, policy, implementation, acquisition, technical support, certification and accreditation (C&A), computer network defense (CND), and risk management.

Williams has also performed in numerous roles within diverse organizations to include Help Desk Analyst, IT Specialist, Systems Operator, Systems Engineer, Senior Information Security Analyst, Systems Administrator, Site Lead, Team Lead, Information Assurance Manager (IAM), Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), and Senior Information Security Engineer.

Williams has completed three Master's degrees and earned a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Information Technology specializing in Information Assurance and Security from Capella University. To supplement her degrees, Williams has obtained several certifications to include the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), and EC-Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO).

Williams is described as an achievement and success-oriented individual with a superior work ethic. She believes in community, family, serving as a positive role model, teamwork, education, and maintaining a positive mental attitude in her personal and professional endeavors.


Kristi HortonKristi Horton

Chief of Women’s Education

Kristi Horton is a pioneer with an entrepreneurial spirit. She challenges conventional thinking and encourages peers, team members, and students to seek solutions from other disciplines and leverage any resources at their disposal to overcome barriers to success. Horton has built and led cyber threat intelligence programs for a top 10 US financial institution, founding and running a commercial digital forensic practice for a Fortune 500 firm, developing new courses and training modules in cybersecurity, intelligence, and digital forensics along with developing assessment exercises, and serving as an evaluator and coach for forensic professionals. Horton has mobilized collaborative groups in the financial services industry to develop a common lexicon to enhance threat information sharing among cybersecurity peers, and initiated a forum for the discussion cyber intelligence strategies. Horton is active in the community through presentations, panel discussions, and organizing training for intelligence analysts on topics ranging from "what is intelligence," to "Applying Analytic Tradecraft to Overcome Bias". Her work has been recognized by government agencies and commercial firms alike.


Marcelle LeeMarcelle Lee

Chief of Competition Programming

Marcelle Lee is an industry professional, an adjunct professor in digital forensics and network security, and provides security consulting and training services through her company Fractal Security Group, LLC. She is involved with many industry organizations, working groups, and boards, including the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu, the NIST NICE Cyber Competitions Working Group, and the ISACA CSX Certification Task Force.

Lee holds four degrees, including a recently completed Master’s Degree in cybersecurity. In 2016 she received the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council Women in Tech (WIT) Award. Lee regularly presents at conferences and training events (speaking list) and has volunteered as a CFP reviewer and speaker mentor. She is passionate about cybersecurity workforce development and is a cyber-competition enthusiast.
