Why Join WSC?
The information technology field, alone, is in high demand with low supply. There is even a higher demand for professionals in information security. Women hold 56% of all professional jobs in the U.S. workforce, but only 25% of IT jobs (ncwit.org). Of that, women represent 11% in Information Security (ISC2). WSC helps bridge that gap and bring women together by providing opportunities, connections, and resources.

Carnegie Mellon Master Degrees
The Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC) is a strategic partner of Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III College. The primary benefit of the partnership provides qualified students who received the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) scholarship with guaranteed scholarship support from CMU while enrolled in the master’s programs at Heinz College.
When enrolling as full-time students in a Heinz College master’s program, eligible students will receive a scholarship of $6,000 per semester. Part-time students in the college’s Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) program will receive a 30% tuition reduction scholarship.
The award will be made at the time of admission (no separate application is necessary). To be considered for the scholarship, Heinz College applicants should indicate their Analyst Fellowship status on the application for admission. Eligible students will receive at least $6,000 per semester, and most students will receive more.
